This section gives an overview of the services we offer to help organisations, and their employees, create healthier and more productive workplaces.
Staffed by expert advisers, our free-to-call national Adviceline offers information on a full range of workplace safety and health topics. The Adviceline can also put you in touch with your local Healthy Working Lives Advisers and arrange for Award Programme registration and Workplace Visits.
Free and confidential Workplace Visits are carried out by our team of specialist Healthy Working Lives Advisers, providing practical, face to face advice on any issues related to occupational health, safety and wellbeing.
Advisers are available throughout Scotland to offer help and advice on how to consult with and involve your workforce to identify issues that are important to them and engage them in developing solutions to improve the health of your business.

We offer access to several tools, templates and completed examples (including risk assessment forms) to support you in dealing with a broad range of workplace safety and health issues. Some of these are downloadable from our Resources page, however if you can’t find what you’re looking for contact our Adviceline who will be happy to assist.
Designed to develop employers’ understanding, knowledge and skills, our suite of interactive training and awareness sessions cover a range of health topics such as Health and Safety, Mental Health and many more.

The Healthy Working Lives Award Programme supports employers and employees to develop health promotion and safety themes in the workplace in a practical, logical way, that's beneficial to all.
It offers organisations a structured path to a healthier workplace with the benefits of a nationally recognised Award Programme, with support from our national network of Healthy Working Lives Advisers.
