National Mentally Healthy Workplaces – Training for Managers

Line managers have a crucial role in supporting the health and wellbeing of employees. From communication, to clarity of role, line managers can influence the success of a team. This training includes good practice in promoting positive mental health and well being as well as offering practical examples of how to support employees experiencing mental health problems.  Mentally Healthy Workplace training is a core criteria of the Silver and Gold Healthy Working Lives Awards.  Attending this course can be used as evidence towards your Healthy Working Lives Award portfolio.   The aims of the course are:  ·         To give managers a broad understanding of mental health and wellbeing·         To identify key factors that contributes to a Mentally Healthy Workplace·         To improve managers confidence in dealing with mental health related issues·         To ensure that managers are aware of their legislative responsibilities in relation to mental health and wellbeing The course is delivered as blended learning this consists of an on-line e-learning module (1 hour to complete) followed by a face to face learning session (6 hours). Participants must complete the on-line course prior to attending the face to face session.
