Working Hours Opt-out Stays but Scottish Employers Should Stay Vigilant

After reviewing the UK’s working time directive opt-out rights, the EU Social Affairs Committee has agreed to allow them to remain. However, employers using this opt-out should be aware of the new restrictions that have been brought in to improve conditions for workers working over 48 hours each week.
