The Healthy Working Lives programnme is delivered by NHS Health Scotland - an NHS Board - in collaboration with Scotland’s 14 local NHS Boards. This privacy policy explains how we use the information we collect about you.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about your organisation and your work contact details when you register with us or enquire about our services.

If provided by you, it is not mandatory, we will collect title/salutation, your first name and last name, email address, designation, contact telephone number, correspondence preference type and your organisation’s name.

How will we use the information we collect?

We collect the information for the purposes of:

  • Dealing with your registrations, requests and enquiries.
  • Helping us know what you need so we can tailor and improve our products and services appropriately.
  • Providing you with information about products and services offered or promoted through Healthy Working Lives.

NHS Health Scotland will not share or sell your personal information to any other organisation other than the 14 local NHS Boards with which we collectively deliver the Healthy Working Lives programme.

How do we look after your information?

Your information is stored on an electronic database on a secure server hosted and maintained by a third party.

The Data Protection Act’s principles require us to make sure your data is accurate, kept up-to-date and that we keep it for no longer than is necessary.

To meet these requirements we will:

  • Update your data or remove it from our database at your request. All correspondence sent to you will include details to let you unsubscribe.
  • Contact you regularly to check you are still happy with us holding your information. We will delete your information from our database if we are not able to verify it.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you and to correct any information that is inaccurate.

If there has been no contact with you for three years your details will be removed from the database.
